W.T. Loften High School – W.T. Loften High School is a public high school that is the premier provider of career and technical education. Loften also provides dropout prevention programs for those students having academic difficulty or adjustment problems in mainstream schools (the Omega and VIP programs). The Alachua Learning Center – The Alachua Learning Center is a public charter school in Alachua County, charging no tuition or fees. ALC strives to keep the student to teacher ratio low, so that it is possible for teachers to give more personal attention to each student. Their mission is to promote a creative and stimulating atmosphere while achieving excellence. Their mission is to promote a creative and stimulating atmosphere while achieving excellence in reading, writing, math, science, history, art, computer skills, and physical education as per the Sunshine State Standards. The school consistently scores well in reading, math, and science on the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test) and has been awarded the prestigious Federal Dissemination Grant for excellence in curriculum development and application.

Eastside High School – Eastside High School is located on the east side of the City of Gainesville and has a student membership of over 1600 during the 2009- 2010 school year. Eastside High School is a diverse school that houses three magnet programs: the Institute of Culinary Arts, the International Baccalaureate program, and the Entrepreneurship program as well as a standard education program for all students who attend Eastside.

Hoggetowne Middle School – Hoggetowne Middle School is a charter school in Alachua County that provides alternative academic choices to mainstream schools serving students with academic and/or adjustment problems. Hoggetowne is dedicated to educating students through high standards in academics as well as alternative programs. Hoggetowne has been educating sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students in a small school setting each year since it opened its doors in 2003.
