ALC Girls present to Expressions
Jan 27, 2012On January 27, 2012 the ALC 7 and 8th girls toured to Expressions Learning Arts Academy to present scenes to the 3rd through 5th grade classes. The girls selected three warm-up activities that involved the entire group to break any barriers between the two groups. After the ice-breaker activities the girls then presented three scenes about bullying and personal identity. The girls focused on transitions to new schools (elementary to middle, moving to a new town, etc.) and how to really know who you are and what to do if you are being bullied. The students at Expressions were very responsive to the scenes and the scenes sparked a lively discussion with the entire group. Everyone at Expressions was very welcoming and the students were very attentive, polite and had a lot of fun participating in the games and watching the scenes. The ALC Girls should be very proud of the work they presented! Job well done, girls!
